On one of our recent trips to Home Depot and Lowes, my hubby and I spent a little bit of time time checking out new residential mailboxes as I am on a serious mission to makeover our nest. I’ll admit that the mailbox we have now is  … sad. There is no color or character to it as it is simply an old wooden box on a stick; and the ones we looked at in the home remodeling stores have very little to offer either as far as creativity goes.

So with little to go on, I began my search online for something – anything – that would aid in my quest for the perfect mailbox for our love nest. I ended up stumbling upon these little beauties, and as someone who loves getting cards and gifts in the mail, a mailbox like these ones  would be perfect. I can already picture myself happily strolling down our driveway and retrieving our mail from any one of these unique mailboxes pictured below. Aren’t they just charming? They have so much life!

What kind of mailbox do you have? Have you ever considered a decorative mailbox for your home?

Do you imagine what your dream home would look like? Not simply the size and architecture of your home, but the inside decor. I do; and lately I’ve been inspired by the dreamy images the bohemian style home decor. As an artist and writer, I definitely want to decorate my new home in this way. I simply love that with a bohemian decor things don’t have to be so perfectly designed, matchy-matchy, and without flaws in order for it to be beautiful. Don’t you?

Gazing at these photos below I find so much inspiration in the originality of the rooms and that the rooms are a true reflection of the interests and passions of the home’s owner. I love how colorful and cozy these rooms are. I  love walking into a room such as those posted below and knowing that the furnishing and decoration wasn’t entirely purchased in one home furnishing store.  I love the idea that the artwork, trinkets, decor, and furniture pieces were found in the most interesting stores, antique shops, and flea markets on one of the home owner’s random trips and travels here and abroad. It’s all so inspiring! I can’t wait to borrow some these ideas for my very own bohemial living home design!
